Tippy1768yi wouldn't change a thing. I first self- taught TI-Basic in early highschool, then Visual Basic+html+css to discover that I actually like programming, then really put passion into learning C++. Once I felt confident in that, I learned C, then LC-3 Assembly, then other languages, and how to use the linux/Unix terminal efficiently.

pepo9005128yBack in my days Clipper summer87' was THE thing. I guess now a days I'll choose Java, Swift or JavaScript...

zshh38538yI started with Java. I would probably not change that. Good start where you encounter all the typical errors in the first years. Now using JS I'm not getting any errors but I can figure out what the problem is based on the errors I got in the past by the Java compiler.
If you had the opportunity to start all over again in programming right now, which language would you choose to start?
