@Michelle surprisingly devrantron doesn't affect my ram it's making splashes in the cpu tho. I may need to describe my system: Dell inspiron n5040 w/ 4gb ram running linux mint. Not incredibly powerful but it gets stuff done.

@JohnScott it normally runs pretty well in systems with low resources. There might be something in the background eating up cpu or ram. Maybe a restart or reinstallation will help?
