Once you go 2 displays side by side, you can never go back.

I've graduated to two vertically stacked monitors (landscape orientation, of course). Less cursor and eye travel to navigate between the two monitors for speed gains and carpal tunnel alleviation.

It's like having 2 cats, impossible to have only one.

When you have more than two monitors you will have exactly the same experience. Currently I work with 4 Monitors and it is amazing. I'm really thinking about buying something like:
