    Maybe you want it to crash and burn out, I don't know

    Anything is possible if you are mad or hate filled enough for hardcore windows usage:D

    So that the people in the tram can see out and natural lights will shine in.

    Say what you want about windows, but it's more reliable than deutsche bahn

    I personally like to look out into the world while it's moving, so why the hell not!?!

    WindowsCE, made to run on cheap shit hardware. Lot of this tech is from the pre-IoT era.

    They probably thought windows would be the faster choice

    @CWins Windows CE and Windows Embedded are pure cancer. Zebra still selling handheld scanner with 200MHz CPU and Win CE for 2000 dollars

    I only know linux for a few years, but i dont know why someone in his right mind would use windows for embedded systems

    @YouAreAPIRate there's a Microsoft official tourial teach you build dog face recgnition system with visual studio and windows embedded

    @sunfishcc i dont have a dog, your argument is invalid :P

    @sunfishcc
    Not just them :-) One might ask "why would anyone still run vs2003 on windows xp?", well because companies sell products that won't compile on newer versions. And the amazing part is that amd and intel still produce little amounts of last millennium hardware from time to time. 😁

    This reminds me we still keep a really old desktop just for the serial port 🤒

    @YouAreAPIRate
    WindowsCE is from the pre-IoT age.
    Linux-distros and respective tools have taken huge steps forward since then, especially in usability. "you can dev in visual studio" was an amazingly good argument.

    @sunfishcc
    We got a mashine from the early nineties. The hardware is still great, but it needs MS-DOS for the software (and of course, a serial port!). That PCs bios battery has been empty for a very long time, so it's been living with "digital alzheimer" since then.
