Okay okay, who really uses vim? I can barely finish vimtutor.

It’s dope but I don’t know if I could see myself doing any sort of web development efficiently on it.

Seems like it would take a solid month to be able to zip around.

Try to dive into it as much as you can and you'll be fine

When you hit commit without message, it will come out! 😏

It will take a solid month but it's worth it.

I can't understand how anyone can do real webdev with that beast of an editor. I know most people will hate me for this, but just get some kind of real IDE. Even just VS Code or something.

@Rekonnect I’ve been in vscode for a while. Love it. I was just seeing what all the fuss was about and figured I would give it a try.

@Nilo-jxn I tried it and hated it. Some things are intuitive, like :wq - Command, Write then Quit. Makes sense. But it's the other shit that bugs me so much.

Great to know and use, but not as a primary coding tool.

I do. Not only for web development, I use vim for everything. Using the right plugins you can turn it into an IDE that works as you want to.
