It's really fascinating how managers can act surprised over a critical prod issue especially after the whole dev department warned them repeatedly.

    The best is when you warn them about scalability etc ahead of time, and then when it comes to performance issues and the only way around it is to do it properly, they act all surprised that it’s come to bite them.

    I genuinely don’t know why people treat software differently to mechanical devices. It’s basically the same thing, except instead of gears and pistons it’s code.
