Randdev417y@Nilo-jxn Thank you. This isn't my first post, since I removed my first one, 'cause I'm worried I might reveal too much and get recognized. But this post isn't very telling (I hope).
Still; thank you very much. :) -
Randdev417y@Nilo-jxn No, but I'm extremely paranoid about posting things on the internet. To an unhealthy point, that is.
-
I never saw the internet as threatening. Worst case scenario == format c: I could be wrong though.
-
Randdev417y@FunkDelegate It's not internet itself I'm afraid of, but the people behind the screen.
-
antic16287yThat's what I call job security. I don't care how incompetent that person might be, they're a genius.
-
This sounds a lot like me in the company I work for...
rest (they are more like student rather than employees) is still learning the basics of HTML, CSS, JS and PHP... meanwhile I get all the work... -
Root797507yThis sums up my current job.
I took over for one of these people, except he was fairly incompetent and hacked most of it together. Now it's up to me to maintain and iterate on everything.
My job is a nightmare. -
Root797507y@CapnHammered Oh, absolutely.
I try not to judge him too harshly because I have a taste of what he went through.
It's still awful to work with, however.
We have 1 guy managing everything. He develop our CMS, customers email client, manage our network, servers, domains (our own domain servers), billing system, SSL certificates... In short: everything (as well as bugs). The entire company relies on 1 guy, pretty much.
Brings the phrase "all for one, and one for all" to a whole new meaning.
