It would have been so helpful if they taught us about licenses and copyrights. Would've saved me a lot of trouble.

I agree with this, when Iwas working on an app for a company I learnt about licenses and that i should add them to the app (I remember seeing a lot of apps include licenses), it was a good learning experience though.

It definitely needs to be taught at university, would have saved me a ton of time in researching the individual licenses.

@f03n1x makes sense. But I always use MIT license for my open source projects

@artemnovichkov it wasn't any of the stuff I was working on but instead the 3rd party libraries I used/used before, they had a bunch of different licenses so I had to make sure what I used was even allowed. The app was released previously without the proper licenses, which was dodgy.
