So looking at the rants against windows here, I will say the war is between os X and Linux.

I agree. Windows is just a whole different product from these 2 that doesn't really compare.

OS X is closer to UNIX (in a bad way) than is GNU Linux. The additions, and the options that you get, make it the sweetest POSIX system out there.

Who should use OS X: People who need a fast non-virtualized POSIX system and at the same time need to work with programs that are not available on Linux (Adobe stuff, MS Office, etc).

Windows is an OS for everyone who doesn't rely heavily on POSIX.
