Hey, I am planing on creating a hackathon for my highschool. I was wondering if anybody has any advice.

"Tech for good" is always a nice theme. Encourage people to create some app / website / hardware that helps people in the community

Also, how easy is it to get sponsors and people to come and speak about stuff. (this is in Georgia)

@upDog I suppose if you could frame it as part of their community engagement, you could send an invitation and see how people respond. The best thing to do when inviting speakers is to have a specific date and time, so that they can respond honestly. I'm a South African in the UK so I can't really help you locally :) Perhaps your best bet is to start looking in your local area for people who would be interested in coming and talking, like Professors at a colleges
