Kulijana4207y@bahua this is a great way to fuck up something that you are doing together for fun and bonding

He's not a teacher. He's not trained to instruct on the topic. There are better ways to bond than engaging in something for which all variables spell disaster. -

Did it come to you that he is not teaching her to become an actual programmer, but just doing it because she wants to have some insight on what he does in life?
I guess he should have just thrown a book in her face, and tell her to go spend hours reading on something that she might not be even interested in. -
I used to have that problem teaching kids JavaScript (p5js).
We gotta put ourselves in their shoes! Remember when you first saw an If or a While? You gotta harness that n00b thought process and reverse engineer it, adding your knowledge.
Don't know if I managed to get my point across, sorry -

Yes, I think he should have violently thrown objects at her face. That's obviously what I was saying. -
Contrary to popular belief not everyone can code, you can force feed them knowledge but they'll just write shitty code. Why does she want to learn? Does she enjoy it?

ymas4717yWhy don't you two watch some YouTube videos and do pair programming. Derek Banas is really good and all his stuff is free.
After a 4 year CS college completed and 3 years of java experience I have found the biggest challenge of my life when my gf asked me to teach her programming. After explaining 10 times what a class and an object is , I started to understand how frustrating is for a teacher with a shitty pay to teach an know-it-all dumb fuck to write a hello world after 2 years of college.
