I don't understand why people like an app but give it the lowest rating because they want more

Because they are entitled bastards. Also the company better make sure they hit diversity quota otherwise it can't be 5 stars.

@mzeffect where did you get diversity quota from?

    People are content leeches...

@Brolls that seems to be the big thing now. Reminds me of the outrage after the recent SpaceX launch
  • 2
Also such reviewers are the ones hell is meant for

@Brolls Kingdom Come Deliverance, Witcher 3, these are some examples I know of where the ridiculous complaint of lack of skin color diversity in a medieval setting has been made.

@Qwby oh yeah. On that sort of stuff I’m totally with you. I just didn’t see the connection with the original post.

    @CallbackHell oooh, what SpaceX outrage?

This is an error in how the rating system presents itself.

@Brolls the lack of women in the main room during the launch as viewed through the Livestream.

@CallbackHell *sigh* it’s a flipping event that people come to.

I can't understand why people use the rating section as the support section. Like amazon has a Q&A portion but people still ask on the rating page and gets in the way on the average score

@thremedy because people will invariably do stupid things. Especially if they’re not tech savvy.

GUIDE: How to send a feedback so that developers will treat you like a VIP
    1)
give them 1 star as you post a request. This gives them immediate threat. They will fear thy have a low rating. So, they will solve your problems immediaty. Now, you are the vip
    2)
Kindly tell them your follow-up action if they ignore your request. Example:
"Please add feature...... or I will uninstall your app" Remember, curse word is also important.

Lol people think they have a stake in the app cuz they hold you hostage with a bad rating

Whem I give a low rating. That's the last time I'd be using it. Maybe this should be included in "basic internet use" classes under computer ethics. When giving a rating. Give a fair suggestion not a question and make use of the darn customer support and patiently wait for a response and be sure to ask politely. A cup of tea might help perhaps :p

This is why I like Steam's review system. They either +1 or - 1 it and it shows the "number of hours played" next to your reading. Best way to ignore bogus reviews!
  • 5
@floatright yeah steam has a much more reliable review system. You'd instantly know who's trolling unless they wasted their electricity not playing.
