Be nice, talk, help, have a great time together and the rest will develop by itself. I've done that, it worked out perfectly :)
There is a little risk to be left in a friend zone, but it's"safe", because I know how fucked up can everything be if you will expless your feeling in front of the class

Rule number 1: make the other person feel special (thats unbeatable) if she likes you， you probably can already check this box.

Rule number 2: allow for suspense (for example compliments splashed with a bit of vagueness and a cheeky smile is a killer)， once again if she likes you this is only a bonus.1

Rule number 3: life sharing experience (spend time with the person by creating memories， walk with her after work/school， try and make it as it was random but with a spalsh of “i kind a try to make this happen， which links to rule 2， or invite her for lunch or to drink tea (dinner or alcohol usually smells like sex and is therefor sometimes a downer)).

Rule number 4: you’re gonna sweat and stress thats normal. Accept it， its fine we all do it (unless your cocky and therefor most likely an asshole) and if you dont try you ll never know and you will regret it when your old smelly and ugly!!!!!

@awaisking The key point is not to find someone just to not be alone. The point is to find that *special* one.. It might take time and a lot of effort, but it is better to be single than being with someone you don't love or thinking all the time "I wish she would be _____"
I know a dude who is trying hard to date at least someone for... 5th year now? Not really successfull.. He is making things TOO complicated

It's hard to explain, but it is completely OK to be single in college.
There is no rush :)
