So our country has fallen into a state of emergency. Access to most popular social networks and messaging apps have been blocked or restricted.

    They are doing same thing which is done by neighbor country. Hope you get that.

    I still don't get why disputes between Buddhists and Muslims are classified as racist, they are both religions.

    @elcore It's not. The only way to access it is via a VPN (or anything similar).

    @illusion466 Right now, nobody knows how legal/illegal it is because we've never had this happen before. Also, it's the TRCSL (Telecommunications Regulation Commission - Sri Lanka) that has directed most Telekoms (some were unaffected apparently) to restrict access to the Internet. Its not just the social networking/messaging sites that were blocked, the Internet is also throttled.

    We have those rules 24/7 here. Plus vpns are mostly blocked too. Get tor and you'll be safe.

    @illusion466 What would you do if they start blocking legitimate sites you depend on like npm?
