Are you trying to be terrible or trying to be good?

Try to beat me in this game

Your only terrible if you stop trying. That being said it is totally okay and probably healthy to take a week or two off if your feeling overwhelmed.

Check out about the Impostor Syndrome, maybe you are not a bad developer, you are just experiencing hatred to deal thoughs in the current Tech Industry.

Well atleast you are trying to better yourself, like joining sites where programmers discuss code.

I've had this mentality myself, but think about it this way; it's better to be terrible but always wanting to learn more, than belive you're great and choose to never learn anything.

I've met senior Java devs who believe they were hot shots because they have coded Java since it was released, the problem was they stopped learning, and you could really tell by their code that they weren't code masters despite being senior devs.

TL;DR: You are probably never gonna be a "great programmer" because there is always more to learn

@FATALITY I’m still a student. I’m trying to learn JS

@Selinux I do enjoy learning. I have hard time implementing a lot of the data structures but i guess it will take a lot of time and practice to get comfortable

@sm001 people like to meme over what languages suck and which ones are better, usually Javascript isn't highly regarded due to its dependcies on different frameworks and JS developers jumping frameworks.

JS is fine as a beginner language even though it might have some funky errors, it's a language you'll have to know to some degree if you want to do web development. I recommend also learning python or an object oriented language like Java and C#. There will always be devs telling you what language is the best and worst but don't hold it in too high regard.

That feeling is normal, don't worry. Try to avoid comparing yourself to others. Be focused on your path. Javascript has some weird parts, but it can be a lot of fun. Don't give up!
