    I honestly don't give much of a shit about what RMS thinks any more. There is no clear-cut definition of which packages together make up the OS, so the naming convention <packages>/linux gets a bit silly. Linux it is, short and simple.

    Changing the Makefile target for political reasons is pretty shitty.
    For as much instrumental it was in the linux early days, and there were other userland and toolchain, gnu hasn't brought anything relevant in the last 15 year (I'm being kind - gcc and libc are independent now)

    Pack Linux and bash plus libc/gcc/binutils and call it Gnu/Linux if you want to. But it evolved so much further than that it's not even funny.

    Or just the kernel + emacs 😄
