My dream:

4 day weeks and 3 day weekends.

This is exactly how life should be. The 5 day work week is total horseshit. If you've never seen the show Adam ruins everything watch the one Adam ruins work

we have ten fingers and use decimal system....why not have 10day week? with 5day weekend?

why? could be even 9 days..as long as they're at the end of the cycle..

I switched to 3 day week, 4 day weekend from a 5 day week. I don't earn loads, just received inheritance and insurance payouts and decided that trying to enjoy life was more important than work.

@nightowl that is so awesome and my eventual goal...If I can make enough money indie developing to quit my job I'm going to eventually move to 4 day weeks...and then if I start getting comfortable with money I'm going to move to 3 day weeks.

We weren't put on this Earth to work our lives away we were put here to spend time with loved ones, see the world, and enjoy ourselves...

True. I'd probably struggle to find another place but I've been working at this company for quite a while and my boss was quite accommodating.

I’m lucky enough to be contracting at the moment and living with family, so my expenses are basically nil.

Sure there can be weeklong gaps between work, but for the most part I’m doing bursts of 3-6 days at a time.
