How does it feels to be a professional coder in a firm?

    Boring sometimes, annoying some other times, gratifying for the most part. Enterprise level experience sets you apart in terms of contract or job prospects which is always great btw.

    Painful, if i didn't need money i would prefer to work on my own projects.

    @AdityaD depends on where you live.

    I get ~$60k, 6 weeks paid vac (+pension, insurances, education, etc) which is pretty average in western eu.

    In the US you would probably have a higher salary, less vacation more insurance, etc
