That's boring. Real nerds use it as an excuse to upgrade their workstation so they can use the old parts as a server :P

Deffo go for it! I started out with a small server but had to switch to a hosting provider because the CPU didn’t support AVX. Having the machine working relentlessly next to is such a power glitch, makes you feel like commanding a gunship

In the end i relented, im building it myself
I was about to pull the trigger, but then i found a bundle for 1000$ with a 32 core zen2 threadripper, 128gb of ddr4, and a mb to go with it
Pretty good deal, i think

Ill just have some drinks before i start building, what could possibly go wrong XD
