creator22067yI am going to share this on our workplace group which have the CEO and CFO both as a member.
I am resigning next month anyway. 😁 -
bahua129047yClever, but not particularly deep imo. Another way to phrase it:
"Can we afford NOT to develop our employees?" -
Beyond this there's something which is even more important:
Be a truly nice, exciting company to work for.
I've considered leaving my company -- because it's not perfect. It's sometimes chaotic and stressful, but my employer offers incredible freedom and continuously challenges me to find my optimal role.
I have visited a few other "good employers" in my region, from prestigious luxurious offices to even more hip/fun startups... The grass was always a bit of yellow and tasteless on the other side of the fence.
Some coworkers have even left for a few weeks, only to join us again (and be welcomed back without hard feelings!)
I think when that happens, that's truly the best thing you can have in a company. -
joas19427yBecause this fits exactly my thing, here comes a status update:
Today, once it's a day, it's one of my priority to go to the CEO's office, talk, ask for a rise or leave.
It's an amazing growing startup. The work conditions aren't perfect yet, but it's really WIP.
I, as a former trainee, current employee have saying on company improvements on really high level. Since it's quite small and successful business, it is time for improvements and investments.
My situation is near perfect. I'm starting my own business legally, so they are just fucked anyway. -

Could also be.
I use it for someone who's forced into a specific situation without consent, or free will. -
@Terrestrial yeah that's why I added the "high paid" part. What I'm referring is employment vs business. There is nothing wrong with employment but doing it for the rest of your life is wrong 😉

I work at a school, my boss is awesome in this regard, every employee started from the bottom with little to no college and he's invested his time and effort into all of us. He makes us all feel like we're the best at what we do in the area (and when it comes to education IT we are in the local area) and he makes sure none of us want to leave.
It also helps that because we work for the government we get good pensions, benefits and retirement options. Sure the pay isn't super but we all love what we do and the team we work with.
pls keep this in your mind!!! please!
