So I finally gave Drupal a try as my colleague is thinking pretty highly of it. Well I installed it, checked a bit... Then uninstalled.
Not interested in building websites that look 20 years old out of the box. Plus, it is god damn slow.

I'd rather build custom admins each time. I start to hate CMS systems, even if they can be pretty convenient sometimes.

In the world of php cmses I found craft thought be one the better ones... It's not free, but has a nice sleek admin, a lot of freedom in designing content structure, and out puts no html by itself, you have to generate it all.. But that also means you don't have to fight against the framework

Only downside is its database, all custom fields end up in 1 big table as a column
