Been telling relatives that I'm an applied math major to get out of helping them with their tech issues.

Me: "I'm a computer science major."

People: "You should get a job at *shitty company*! They need an IT guy."

Me: "Nope. I'm learning to make things on computers, not fixing people's fuck ups."

What they don't know is I'm an IT and CS major. But shhh they don't need to know.

A lot of the time, you end up fixing programming fuck ups (including yours)

"I'm a web programmer"

"Great! Can you help me fix my TV?"

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten that one.
