I have reached that point in my life where i dont even buy electronic products anymore, i just make them myself.

Context: just ordered peltier coolers to make an ac and a fridge.

@Condor yeah, i think 19w is a bit too much as well, i will probably build in an attiny and turn on the peltier for like a minute and turn it for 30 seconds, i will have to make some measurements, but i think the metal part of a cpu cooler should be able to hold the cold for that long. I dunno about the hot part tho, i will try to make a passive cooling solution with copper tubing, like on the back of actual fridges, maybe it would work.

@Condor i looked it up, 300ma should be doable with passive cooling, maybe a small fan

@Condor the most i can supply is around 1.2, because i wanna run it off a standard microusb cable. Ill have to experiment and see what works i guess. If the fridge can keep a stable 18-20 C, im happy.

@Condor i have an evaporating cooling thing in the weekend house, its built with regular bricks, and works quite well, a 2 brick module can cool down a medium size room by ~8c

Next step: understanding you can't do everything yourself.
I'm a huge DIY fan but sometimes it's not worth both economically and quality wise.
That said nothing stops you from hacking together various products, peltiers btw are interesting but they do suck a LOT of power for an inefficient cooling compared to compressors.
PS: please do NOT use usb cables, we're talking about a power ungry little thing,usb is not meant for that
