web dev agency makes a job ad that fits exactly my skill set.
*send an email in a good form with resume and everything*
No acceptance, no decline, no "we'll look at it", just nothing...
just fucking die already -_ -

    the longest it ever took me to hear back from a company was 1 year and 3 months, I shit you not. I didn't even remember applying at that point and had to research who was rejecting me. It's changed the way I think about the whole process. Follow up follow up follow up.

    @Oussama I was absolutely stunned. I wasn't a dev at the time and the job in question was with NOAA. I had already found and been at my then current job for about 8 months. Never applying for another federal position where I haven't personally met the folks in charge/hiring. Its absolute garbage leaving someone on the line for more than 2 or 3 months without any kind of update.

    I applied to Amazon in 1st sem. I heard back after one surgery and 18 months in recovery
