I didn't use Windows, but my friend encountered this problem. Anyone knows how to handle it? Thank you

    Remove the power cord, open the window and throw the fucker out, close the window. Problem solved.

    Ctrl+Alt+Del a couple of times.
    Also try hitting the windows key and Esc key to see if it responds.

    Usually works for me.

    no "install linux" resolutions yet? i'm impressed

    reboot w/ a windows cd (or if you're able, safe mode) and do a "chkdsk /b"

    @zlice I am actually ~200 miles away from him. And we communicate via messenger. If it's nearby, I'll have to try DebiOS. 😁

    @mebekix understandable, nowadays best case scenario on SO is you get flagged for duplication to a slightly different question that doesn't solve your problem...
