"Interpret your result"

For anyone interested, it's about -0.93

Because the correlation coefficient can lie in [-1, 1] this is a strong negative correlation, meaning high values for X result in a lower value for Y.

Obviously, it is suggested that frequent abstinence will result in a worse grade.

As an extra, here is how the result is calculated:

    Covariance
    Cov(X, Y) =
    mean((X-mean(X))*(Y-mean(Y)))

    Variance
    Var(X) = Cov(X, X)

    Standard Deviation
    Std_dev(X) = sqrt(Var(X))

    Correlation
    Cor(X, Y) =
    Cov(X, Y)/(Std_dev(X)*Std_dev(Y))

LaTeX support for DevRant would be nice :D
