Making fun of a skinny/fat person working out is like making fun of an uneducated man trying to learn

Yeah, why is this even a thing?

We as a society have ridiculed people for being fat and then ridiculed them for working out.

This is why I want to live in a cave with just my PC and a gigabit fiber internet connection.

People will always make fun of others, mostly to feel better about themselves. While not being funny, it's a good way to spot the uninteresting people.

@Jilano not only to feel better. Looking for differences between people is a natural thing to do for one's mind. It's how it perceives our world. There are a lot more similarities though. Basically, apart from some small details, everyone is the same.

The vice versa option is also true.

Just look at the ones making fun of you straight in the eyes, ripping their inner emptiness apart in the process :) Most people can't stand a staring contest due to a most probable lack of self confidence :P

I was once made fun of in a gym for lifting low weight, after being sick with cold lung inflammation for almost 2 months.
I knew, that no matter what, I shouldn't be ashamed, but it's really hard to convince yourself others opinions doesn't matter.
