I would like to switch to english keyboard layout (currently german).
Do you have any tips for not raging the first months, because of all the miss-typing?
Especially with german hardware keyboard, so I can't even cheat.

I have a DE-ISO and a US-ANSI sitting on my desk and use both of them depending on the task at hand (no pun intended). I got the US keyboard mainly because writing LaTeX on a german one is beyond bad. That might be a good choice for training because it kind of highlights the differences between the layouts with its high ratio of {, [, ], } and \ per line.

Also, I highly recomment the us-intl-nodeadkeys layout. I miss only a few characters on this layout and I'm as comfortable typing German texts on this one as on a real German keyboard.

I use norwegian, german, and esperanto keyboard layouts; just try to use it and you'll quickly get it
