Got this from boss (a few colleagues got it as well):
Sites have been down over the weekend and seems the only person cares is PM! There is a condition about working when required (i.e. unpaid OT) on your contract! It is essential that sites are properly managed even at weekends - we run a online business! If anyone has problems we'll discuss next week
*Note: site was partially down and there was no major impact on the business

When I explained why we need to rebuild the sites, you said not now - almost 2 years now, still nothing happens.
When I asked if we can get managed hosting or load balancer, fecking NO again
After asking for my opinion on the sites, you & the puppet think my honesty is me being negative and incorporate, and exclude me from meetings and major part of my work

Go fuck yourself! I've warned you about the status of the sites and you did not want to listen SO DON'T TELL ME I'M NOT DOING MY JOB WHEN YOU'RE THE ONE STOPPING ME FROM DOING IT PROPERLY!
I'm sure we'll have our meeting very soon, cheapskate.

I can correlate myself to excluding from meetings part, and then I left.

Glad my boss has the motto "this is America, you work you get paid" no unpaid shenanigans..

Obviously it's cheaper to save on maintenance and let people do unpaid OT when it breaks instead. Maybe you have the mails to prove you told them so, but I doubt you will get the "oh you are right, we are such assholes but now we see the error of our ways" response.

@grolofson And while my boss motto is
"Pay you well under your market value, paid OT? pfttt stop daydreaming!"

@Elkstorm yup always cheaper and you will always get the blame for not maintain it properly.
Last time I spent the whole weekend bringing the other site back up and asked for OT "oh yes you can take days off"

Overtime at weekends is bad enough, but unpaid overtime. Seriously wtf. If people want me to spend time on something they need to pay.

@rallport Weekend overtime is acceptable if it's urgent matter, unpaid is definitely wtf but now he is implying no one cares about the sites, brings out the contract terms and smack it on everyone's face, this is absolute disrespectful and fucking disgusting

In my opinion this company should be into deep trouble from not being able to attract any employees.

@YHasRestricts I ask myself all the time - I must be a masochist or something :b

Joking aside, have been looking for new job but haven't tried hard enough and being very picky on jobs - I simply don't want my next job to be like this again, had enough with companies with no vision :(

@Elkstorm They have been in troubles not just HR, but also with business partners and sponsors - more reasons to leave before shit happens.
