University logic - Provide outdated curriculum. Drop current relevant stuff from the course. Use a legacy software that has no applications anymore. Expect the student to be a master at a technology without documentation.

It was exactly like that for me as well. the fucking bitch lecturer said we should try to never use javascript as it is only for dislapy purposes (simple animations and the like) If I could go back I would tit-punch her for that shit.
