I wanted to switch from windows 7 to the linux kernal..
so which operating system is good to start ..
Ubuntu , fedora , or .. ?

    Ok first don't use the wk104 tag for a simple question. Second if you have no clue about linux distros start with Ubuntu, get used to it and then research the other distros and decide.

    As previously mentioned u prob wanna start with Ubuntu, but after u install, u can still pick different desktop environments to use

    U can see the topic in ur home page or in weekly rant section (go to the bottom right corner tab)

    I would recommend Linux Mint, it is based on Ubuntu and has some more tools for configuration and settings.
    Also the Desktop Environment is more Windows User friendly.

    Kernal with an a, does awake memories of Commodore 64 though :p

    Kubuntu is more lightweight and feature-rich

    Try zorin ! Good for windows user who want to start with Linux, followed by Ubuntu by fedora by arch by LFS (not yet tried this one)
