GDPR will kick in tomorrow, and I think nothing actually will change in the long run

    The lawmakers is lawyers, and not technical people...
    Also, I think most companies is shitting themself over it and make stupid solutions.

    Yeah, totally! It's like when some crazy bureaucrat decided children couldn't work anymore... Pff. The startup scenario took DECADES to recover. Or like the whole thing around carbon emissions. Who the bloody F do these guys think they are trying to halt the obviously unavoidable death of our planet? Hellooooo! That diesel train has left the station, buddy. All you're doing now is hampering honest hard working entrepreneurs. Pff. Pff I say.

    One month later:

    1. We had a deluge of "were changing our privacy policy" emails.

    2. Instead of a cookiebar we get super complex popups on every grandma's WordPress blog.

    3. Google and Facebook continue life as normal. Maybe they'll get a fine after dragging out lawsuits for a decade.
