Tahaga7647y@saiij yeah that's what I feel I'm going to be feeling if I stay, but I'm scared that if I leave I'll be unhappy.. i don't know it's so hard

ViRaS19677y@Tahaga It's a normal scenario that when it comes to selecting a college, people tend to favor the ones located farther from their home (in a new city in your case). This inclination rises mostly due to the fact that a new/distant place gives them more opportunity to explore new places. Whereas going to college nearby doesn't leave you with much to explore.
Also going to college is the onset of adulthood and kids are very eager to experience some changes in their life at that stage..
This feeling may cloud your sense of judgement and make you bias towards choosing a distant college.
Moreover, studying close to your home and in your familiar territory has some advantages of its own like you have very little things to worry about except your studies; whereas in a new place/city you have to additionally manage yourself, your new home and that too in an unfamiliar environment. This counts in times of emergencies, like when you fall sick. -
devTea219107y@Tahaga you’ll be, but you need to face it sooner or later, you need to feel sad to realise happiness worth

Strassbourg is nice. But Paris is nicer. Since in France it's more important where you've studied than your work experience, I would recommend you to choose the school with most prestige. Except if you have the possibility to study in germany then go to germany. Or if you speak elsässisch then the ETH in Zürich would be a very good choice.

Are you going to provide for yourself if you move to the other city or will your parents pay for everything?
If you're going to provide for yourself, then you should probably stay with your parents.
Also, think about whether or not you'll miss them.

Hello guys, I really need some advice today...
I'm currently 18. I got accepted in two pretty equivalent colleges. One is in my city, 1h with the bus, and the other one is in another city.
Both are somewhat equivalent schools, the one in another big city is much nearer to other colleges I'd like to go to later (this one will last 2 years, then I'll have to go to engineering school for 3 years).
I have to decide monday where I'll go. It's horrible.. here, in my city, I have the person I love and the comfort of living by the parents (even tho it's a discomfort too). But the other city attracts me a lot too, independance does too.. it's horrible, I can't decide, I don't know if it's a good idea to leave, and I fear having regrets if I stay.
Have you some experience to tell me about? Some regrets you have? Or basically some advice?
It would help me so much, thank you!!
