fun fact: working remote didn't even crack the top 5 reasons when a study was made to find out why companies aren't doing well in this economy
You have no idea how much management hates the idea of you having the tiniest tinge of freedom or choice. -
ctkqiang1078022d@SidTheITGuy true,
but in my case , I witness this guy, literally party during working hours , and POSTED in social media and we have to tell him not to do it, you know in remote, he want to party is fine, but don't make it public and at least response to messages or at least one commit, just to show managers that he is active.
but no, this fella party and , posted in social media, and in midnight he truncated a table in our DB ( company don't allow to work after working hours, commits or changes after 6pm is not allowed, Weird policiy i know).
He code (using cursor) a spring project, and most of the files are missing, and he DARES TO COMMIT IT TO Main branch! ( but luckily , one of the file missing was the github-action, that saved) -
hjk101571516d@ctkqiang the problem is not the remote working. It's that he doesn't remotely have a clue about being a good (well adequate) employee. Just get him out of the or at least face some consequences...
Some people are the reasons that some company banned "remote-working", I am here thinking that "bro, don't abuse it, the last thing I expect is we all work onsite"
