What is the best way to tell users "you are not authorized to view this data" without sounding rude

    Just send them the classic 403, they'll never know what happened and they won't be offended.

    "This page is currently not available, please check back later."

    But then your users might come to you from time to time and asks you, when it will be "available" again, and you just go with "soon".

    @WinterCore we actually give the users 404, so they think the page doesn't even exist.

    Its actually an analytics portal.. Imagine google analytics.. Only a part of the graph is not visible coz he doesn't have access to that part
