Thanks to some random guy on a forum at page 100000000000000 of duckduckgo I figured out that I need to change the USB mode of my laptoo-tablet in order to allow UEFI booting.

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO FUCKING PROPERLY DOCUMENT THAT?!

    @fuck2code really? I have never tried Arch on UEFI but other Distros such as Antergos and Ubuntu is easy. Just the normal install process.

    HOLY FUCKING JUMPING JESUS ON A BREADSTICK MY LIFE IS COMPLETE! This is prolly the same problem I've had for about 2 years on my laptop. Thanks for finally giving me the peace of mind knowing I'm not the only one.

    @fuck2code Ikr, I almost killed myself while installing Fedora on UEFI machine.

    Never had a problem with installing Arch, Ubuntu or Fedora on an Acer with UEFI. For Arch systemd-boot is the best way.

    @fuck2code Oh I have. Only I've never had to switch USB interfaces in the bios/uefi/howeverthefuckyoucallit

    Gentoo has the equivalent of all Tolkien books in one as a handbook for UEFI, so I guess it's pretty documented?
