Joke apart, We literally don't do that in my workplace, only few people care about code quality and what they are pushing to production

Ah, it was good.
In last promotion I got rise of 70%+ (it was on performance basis).
I did not became senior dev but I still maintain more than 3 projects and help most of the people irrespective of stack.

Mostly this happened due to things I'm working on, currently I'm the one and only guy who is working on entire different things and I was always given with R&D tasks maybe it's new tool, library, stack, they always give me.(But because of this I never learnt specific thing completely which is too bad in my perspective)

Our company actually moved it's location to another city and I don't wanted to migrate so I just told them I can't but our CTO is too friendly so he said just do work from home and come when there is urgency, so I almost did work from home for more than 5 months.

Later we mutually decided that mainly I will be working in office but I will do work from home for one week in every month and as I was already not ready to move they pay my rent whenever I come.

So here it is, my little story :)

Now we have to submit a Doctors certificate as proof if someone is taking sick leaves for more than 2 days or if someone is taking sick leave on Friday or on Monday(Seems trust issues LOL).

When Email and Time-sheet is everything in the workplace....
They literally don't care about your work or about successfully deploying project, if you don't have it in timesheet then you did nothing.

They want me to work on totally new things and expect to get the results within week and when I mention this is new and I can't even give estimates, they want that to be in an Email. Like WTF!! you even know this is fucking new thing that only I'm working on, there's no one to help me.

And I'm here learning,studying so I can solve these out of scope requirements with best practices.

And in the meantime they also want me to work one few other things .__.

1) Love solving complex/small problem using this magic.
2) It's frustrating as well as exciting when magic is not working.

So yea it's kinda magical and doesn't matter which language you do magic in.

Maybe I took hell of a time, maybe I've ignored it for long but at least I've always fixed bug which I came across and will fix if I come across any new (as there might be many hidden :P ).

Anything in work that is related to "Wordpress".

Fucking fuck! I'm done.

The client IT team decided to change the whole fucking theme of Wordpress and the manager who fucking approved the previous changes left month ago.

Spent whole day trying to integrate all the changes I've done previously on different theme in new theme but this fucking new theme always decides to fuck up whole CSS every time I do some changes in theme option.

FUCKING FUCK!

Never had stickers until I got my first sticker set from devRant, till I had laptop skin :)

So of course devRant stickers are my favorite stickers and that cubicle sticker is my most favorite.

I lost my bike key in office yesterday and searched hell out of everywhere like in office, in my bag, in others bags (never know who can prank you), even we were searching in everyone's drawer but we were unable to find it so we went out an checked if I dropped it near canteen or anywhere out in office area using mobile flashlight at night for like 2 hours. So we just lost hopes and went to home by bus.

So today we went to shop and bought the new lock assembly and while we were heading back to office our QA called me laughing and telling "we found it, it was stuck in your chair and it fell out while the cleaning guy was cleaning it.!"

Luckily the shopkeeper took lock assembly back as it is laughing and gave us full refund.

Not much riskiest though,
So on my office laptop I've duel boot Fedora as primary OS and windows another.

So for some reasons I needed extra space on windows so I had to un-allocate some space from /home as it had assigned too much disk(more than 100GB I think)

So I unmounted /home moved all the /home/myuser to /opt using sudo then did sudo rm -rf to /home/myuser and un-allocated some space

after I restarted laptop I get to know that I fucked up little xD
Took me while to fix that shit, I literally created one more user and fixed it as at the time of booting it was trying to get few configs from /home/myuser and even had permission issues.

What to do if client is accusing you for putting some malware in their website?(of course I didn't put anything.....makes 0 sense anyway and btw it's wordpress)

This is second time I've accidentally executed sudo poweroff on test server via ssh assuming it was my machine :(

It's all because my mind was not stable as we were testing few issues on test server and at the same time from client side someone was doing the changes from Admin side(Wordpress) and we saw menu and few text got disappeared.
Such a bad day. smh

Maybe less procrastination...

Too many calls because of unread emails.

But didn't turned on the laptop.

Had fun on beach, enjoyed too much as it was my first marriage anniversary.

Yesterday I had message from our CEO, that one of our biggest and most important project's CEO have told her that there is spelling mistake in my email signature and people there will judge because of that.

PS: I had Enginner instead of Engineer in such small font that even no one even noticed in entire year not even me.(I don't even feel ashamed for that it was not intentional and it does not make me bad at what I do at my work)

I just want to ask you guys are people really that bad they judge based on spellings? and not on work and their dedication?
I think there will be thousand of people who can't even speak or write English but are more innovative.

I've worked 16 hours per day for 3 days just because the Diwali was coming and there were too many holidays, so they kinda peeled me hard....
They decided to deliver things in 2-3 days which was supposed to be 18 days with proper planning and QA but yea fuck everything......

So they took my personal meeting just because there was delay in delivery due to other dev as he was working on shitloads of things and didn't get time to work on API and didn't gave me in time.
And they specifically called it "Doubt meeting" LMAO.

So we had a requirement to build some email templates and the guy who was working on that was unable to make some good one.
And I build kinda one and ........... They liked it.
(I'm not good at frontend things and they still liked it lol)

And now they are flooding me with loads of templates to make, and I must say building RESPONSIVE email templates is a fucking pain in the ass and takes a huge amount of time if you're new and your client has provided complex designs with shit loads of fonts which are not supported by half of the inboxes. Maybe I'm not familiar with it that's why.

Fucking every single time and more due to I got assigned to Wordpress project.
