    What do you mean "it has python"?

    When did this happen? Wtf.

    I'm no artist, so I've pretty much ignored it. But that sounds interesting.

    @ODXT "why do you put this stuff on devRant?" - blender has python but that's not the point lol.

    @BambuSource
    No, I'm just surprised. I didn't know that. It sounds cool though. :D

    Not an artist but I played with it for a while.

    I heard blender also contains a complete game engine.

    @timlyrics yes but it's shitty compared to any other engine.

    Yes (hobbyist).
    Give the newbie a book about blender and tell him to do learning by doing in his own speed. Then answer the lots of questions that will come up.

    @timlyrics used to. They've removed it in the upcoming Blender 2.8

    @BambuSource make them focus on learning a few basic tools and mastering them. Especially loop cut and slide, that shit is super cool.
    And make them read about the basics of PBR, what is BSDF, standard BSDFs, parameters, etc.

    Start with a cube, then add vertices and extrude to get the shape you want. Don't build parts separately. Think of it like modeling clay.
