    Love this talk but this is actually very reasonable behaviour tbh. Subtracting from a string doesnt make sense

    @nikolaandj this aint java. Coercion can also be very useful. Use typescript if you want exceptions.

    @musician in that case this is a valid operation. Either you want exceptions when this comes along and accept typechecking, or you don't want typechecking and deal with this as valid input
