As lead developer I was not allowed to implement automated testing as "we don't have time for that" - you have no idea how much time it would save!

    @Fasopus The amount of effort manual testing each release that the tech consultants put in and the gaps in testing are just horrific!

    just do it. if you're a lead it's your job to introduce those things. I'm also lead and I introduced CI, CD, TDD and code reviews on my job in the last couple of years. you're a lead so you have more knowledge on what's best. not some PM or other non-developer. my next goal is paired programming, but we need more employees first. ;-) busy busy busy

    Agreed. Stay late occasionally and get it started. Show the proof-of-concept and how it works when you're ready. Save yourself hours and hours longterm. It's worth it.
