Dammit I wish vscode weren't made in electron. Why can't they just make a native version or something, they own the bloody os anyway

    Because it’s one of the very few electron based applications that I have used that doesn’t chew a hole into ram and is quite responsive.

    I think they’ve done a great job despite the underlaying tech being bloated and slow.

    I have to use it on a system with 4 gigs of ram. It's slow as heck, aside from being such a good editor

    @hashedram If the system can't really handle it, why not use something else? Nowadays, anything but a super lightweight Linux distribution will feel sluggish at best with 4GB or RAM.
