What is the use of this keyword in js?

Explain it with a real world example

Joking aside, this changes meaning depending on the context it's called in.
In the global context, as in this is not inside a function, for example in a browser this refers to the window object.

It's complicated. "This" in js refers to the invocation context of the parent function.

There's really no simple way to explain it. I'd need at least 10 "real world examples" to cover it in full.
