> Queue up at 1:30 in the morning
> Big mistake
> Win first game, they forfeit
> Win second game barely
> One more game to rank up to Diamond 3
> Can taste it
> Teammate instantly disconnects, leaving me in a 2 v 1
> Lose. Badly.
> Decide to play one more
> Winning
> Suddenly internet disconnects
> Frantically trying to reconnect to WiFi
> Scrambling around in the dark to try and find phone to check if it’s the WiFi or the computer
> Phone is nowhere to be found
> Nothing is working
> Can’t turn on light because mom is sleeping next door and she can see the light shine
> Not-so-gracefully attempting to run Windows troubleshooter
> Unable to resolve problem, as usual
> Give up and close laptop
> Go to restroom
> Eyes are now not adjusted to the dark
> Stumbling back to room when mom talks to me out of the pitch blackness
> Scares the shit out of me
> Guess I can turn on the light now
> Phone is under 50 pillows
> WiFi doesn’t work on phone
> Stupid ISP, probably thought no one would be using the Internet at this time
> Lay in bed at 1:57am writing this thing on cellular
> Try to sleep
> Maybe I’ll get Diamond 3 tomorrow

    @theKarlisK That sucks. They could at least have some sort of general rule. If I knew it would be off at 2:00 I would structure my time around that. Like Valve always does maintenance at 17:00 PST on Tuesday’s. I can easily remember that and it’s not a big deal.

    Seems like an industry standard. Happened fraudulently at that time for my latest 3 ISP's.

    I don't know if this is a maintenance thing. I can only talk for germany, where ISPs are forcing you to reconnect every 24 hours. On some routers you are able to delay this forced reconnect, like in my case to 3-4 am
