Search - "rocket league"
I built a gaming PC and have been addicted to it for the last few months (rocket league, subnautica, Xcom2 mostly) and my Girlfriend complained that we didn't do anything anymore... solution? I built her one too (now she won't stop playing prison architect!)
I think I might just have to marry her.19
!rant (maybe somewhat drunk)
I'm a moderate gamer, and I like online gaming (battlefront, rocket league, that kind of stuff). And I can say that from all online communities i've seen, devRant is by far the less toxic one, being actually extremely nice.
Most dev communities i've been part of are extremely competitive, but devRant is all about sharing and caring.
A big bravo to you all, and thanks!6
>programming since I got up
>don't have much time to program because job sucks up all my time
>dont know the best solution to a problem so decide to take a small break
>open rocket league
>start 1v1 match
>4 minutes later
>dad walks in my room, demanding I go pretend to be a stone age nibba
>wants me to dig some dirt for his crops
>wants me to carry multiple buckets of water
>wants me to plow literally fields
>tells me that I'm addicted
>tells me that he's getting rid of the Internet again
Only my girlfriend and programming bring me joy and you reduce my capacity to interact with both. Fuck you.25
People talking about NVIDIA drivers on Linux and how bad those are. Pretty sure that if I had any recent GTX 1080 I'e be able to actually play Rocket League on any fucking Linux distro. AMD drivers are worse. How the fuck can I have my RX 480 work in 3D applications (read: Rocket League) on any other Linux distro than Ubuntu 16.04? The internet doesn't have a solution for me.11
Yet another reason, why I love the Internet and it's ability to remove remove borders that should not exist in the first place.
Around seven hours ago, I met a stranger while playing rocket league. Just now I said goodbye to a friend, with whom I talked about our lives, our opinions on certain matters and our cultures.
Just within seven hour I made a friend with whom I could talk honestly about things I could probably not even talk about with my parents.2
Just bought a knockoff controller for my gaming PC, plugged it in and I was playing Rocket League in 10 seconds. No driver install, no key mapping.
This is how everything should be.1
Seriously, can we just all agree and fuck Epic Games? And also their shitty EAC. RIP Rocket League on Linux. What's next? Oh wait...there is almost nothing left...
The best thing how they act like their retarded Store is better than Steam. You can suck my dick idiots.11
My first internship was at a small startup in Belgium, we were 5 including me. Most of the time, we would all go to my boss's house for dinner and play rocket league then go back to work.
Hands on experience is the best. Lemme tell ya.
So recently a friend has been bugging (in a good way) me about getting to one of my projects. So, about a week and a half ago I finally got along to starting. I tried using existing FOS projects to mold together as my own, but that didn’t work. So I made it from scratch. At first it was frustrating because I didn’t know PHP, but now I think I got the gist of it.
Almost a week and a half now and quite the progress has been made, at least to what I had expected... now I’m addicted to coding. I hate food. And people. I love my code, no matter how terrible it is.1
I've been working on a Programming playlist for a while and seems people want more of those, so I'll share mine as well
The following is a mix of dubstep, house, vocal EDM and a whole bunch of Rocket League music
A little critique won't be hated on (probably)
