I fucking hate this country. I hate this place. I hate these people.

I have to wait for seconds for chrome to even show up, I can't browse shit. VS Code fucks it up like I'm tryna solve some quantum formulas but in reality IT JUST HAVE TO OPEN A FUCKIN PROJECT FOLDER.

I hate the fact that I need to work for months to afford a decent computer, MBP or XPS isn't even a dream for me.

Wanna buy a XPS? Good. Now work for 10 months even without spending a dime. MBP? It just become 20.

Why did I have to be born in this fucking shithole part of the world? I could've just born dead, that would be less painful.

T420 - shitty screen but awesome keyboard, can be found on ebay or such for less than 100€

Throw an ssd and some ram on it and bam, awesome dev machine that handles most modern programming-related tasks

(been using my 2008 T420 for 2 years now)

@Codex404 I don't know if it is a problem to talk about politics here but yeah, by replacing ballot boxes, giving pre-stamped ballots to their voters, threatening Kurdish voters with guns via their thugs, faking shit ton of votes and also threatening main opposition nominee with civil war and probably prison. We(opposition) can't convince his supporters that he's driving us off a cliff because they think that he's doing for this country and he built new roads. In reality, %52 of this country having orgasms because a conservative Islamist living in a palace, his wife wears expensive bags and they drink a thousand dollar tea in their palace. That's what they wanna see because they're never going to live a such luxurious life and he became an national icon, they never had a leader like this...

@quentinl I've never heard of this one before and it's pretty cheap but unfortunately I can't buy anything from eBay because paypal is blocked in my country, also I'd have to pay a shit ton of tax in Customs. But it's still cheap in-country, so I'll give it a shot, thanks.

@devgrips Nice, keep us updated !

    Always glad to help

If you decide to buy a new computer though: the MBPs and XPS are nice, thin and light

But for the same (costly) price and if you can bear the increased weight, get a T series, like T470 or T480, hell why not a P50 ! Build to withstand hell and easely upgradeable.

Check out Louis Rossman's video about the P50

@quentinl 470 and 480 is the same price as XPS/MBP but I just found a used 4th gen X1 Carbon for a quite interesting but affordable price. If I don't buy that one I may go with P50.

Is this not an opportunity to go into darkweb marketplaces like silkroad and post an add for the assasination of erdogan? It seems that polish hitmen can do the job for the price of that new laptop (or so i've heard, i will neither confirm nor deny anynknowledge about such sites and marketplaces)

Is society becoming Islamic gradually or do that madman 's efforts have little impact on the people? What's the situation with the new generation?

@Teabagging4Life Turkey is less open to the Islam then the netherlands... In Turkey its not allowed to wear a jihab (thats the correct word I think) inside government buildings (not sure of just for employees or everyone). Where in the netherlands its allowed.

@NeatNerdPrime Do you want me to get arrested because of a rant?

@Teabagging4Life The thing with the new generation is we don't have a sharp line that separates conservatives and seculars.
My conservative peers lives the same life as me. They go the clubs, they drink, they engage in premarital relationships which is strictly forbidden in their religion. Even if they don't do these, at least they don't have a sympathy for conservatism or AKP. I don't have data for recent election but AKP just got %8 of young voters in last referendum. Although they ran a massive propaganda against Atatürk, secularism and kemalism in their Islamic schools and media, millenials are shifting back into Ataturk's line and integrating western ideals into their lives. It looks like that Turkey is becoming new Saudi Arabia or something like that but that's not what really happens. Religion isn't the most important factor in daily life anymore and it's declining pretty much. Most of the Muslim Turks are living a life that would be punished in other parts of the mideast.

@Codex404 It's hijab and yes, it was forbidden for public servants to wear hijab in work, they lifted this ban 2 or 3 years ago. Police and soldiers has the same right too.

    @devgrips :(

Its the job of the military to make sure that that doesnt happen right? The coup a few years back was part of the protection and according to the oldest law from Turkey.

@Codex404 First and must important mission of our armed forces was to protect Ataturk's legacy and make sure Turkey stays secular. Now, I said it was because this administration took every political and legal power that army had to do so and filled the army with their guys and other islamic cults. 15th July, the coup that you mentioned, committed by one of those cults, led by a guy named Gülen. He fled to US after Feb 28 events(army pressured that administration to not to cooperate with these orgs etc). AKP had strong relationships with Gülen until 2013(too long to tell about in here). After said conflicts, Erdogan declared war against Gülen and his followers, so he staged an uprising in return.
