I guess I will stay on Github with my projects at the moment, as the acquisition by Microsoft doesn't seem as bad as initially expected. Propably it will even improve the UX of Github.

The takeover hasnt even started yet, how can you already say this?

@Codex404 I just thought about the negative implications of changing something to its bad on Github for Microsoft. And if you think about it, since the new CEO is @Microsoft, they're getting really developer-centric with SQLServer on Linux, WSL, TypeScript, ... I think they'll use Github as a platform to boost sales of Azure products, so the most possible features imho are "direct deploy" buttons for your projeccts.

@theKarlisK I think most of the Github Devs will remain. And on the web part, Microsoft isn't that bad actually. If I look at their Github, there is quite intelligent and useful stuff for webdevs. Since about two years I'm a passionate user of outlook.com online and it really matured over time.

@dontbeevil I'm aware the process will complete to the end ot the year, I just wanted to post my thoughts,as I myself was one of the people advertising GitLab as a new platform, but after thinking twice I redecided.
