Web development is so dumb, why there's all this mess?

I've yet to figure this out.
Though to be fair, computers in general are gigantic messes that just happen to work (more or less) well enough.

I think it’s beautiful though

@Root that's why I love assembly and low level programming, even though I'm not so good I love to have full control on what the computer is doing.
I really hope WebAssembly will become more solid and mature so I can finally use C++ to build everything 😍

@michezio I worry about webassembly simply because I will never have any idea what websites are doing anymore. The amount of privacy concerns it raises is insane.

Building things with it sounds fun, however.
