Damn you SIP! Why is it so fucking difficult to make you work behind NAT?

I feel you bro 😅 here I have a VoIP for my landline as well. Tweaking the firewall to allow all the ports it operates on is a royal pain in the ass!

@Condor What ATA are you using your PSTN? SPA3102 is what I use and I can never make PSTN fallback work when there is no connection to Asterisk. Detecting PSTN disconnect is also flaky.

@LrdShaper oh, you're using a professional PBX? Here I'm just using VoIP for my home landline, so I'm afraid that I can't comment on that 😅 I'd love to learn more about PBX's and their configuration at some point though!

@Condor No asteriskv1.4 is installed on an old xbox running Gentoo. I migrated to a pine64 running Stretch and asterisk 13 but echo became a problem so I switched back

@LrdShaper oh, I see.. interesting! In that case maybe I'll install it on a VM as well 🙂

@Condor I'll be happy to help if you have questions related to vanilla asterisk
