What the fuck is this version control thing? We managed to pass one fucking entire semester building an mobile game without knowing anything about version control. How my team finished the game? Fuck, we just place our source code and files into the folder, archive to rar and sent it through gmail. My desktop was a fucking mess, it was bunch of New Folder(x) all over the place. Fucking school didn't even taught or mentioned even once about that shit. In fact our faculties were all master degree holder. Our life could have been easier back then. So in this last school year, we gonna use that shit in our Capstone project.

Did nobody in your team mention git? Surely it's not the case that everyone went in fully clueless? And do people restrict themselves to only what it said in a classroom?

@neodite no one knew about version control, even the whole 5 different sections taking that same course has no knowledge about it. We presented our app through flash drive, stick it to the laptop and voila. And no, we didn't restrict ourselves on what only discussed on classrooms. We fucking built that game through Lua which our school didn't even taught. We just didn't had the idea or even thought about it because our time and mind is occupied on how things work in Lua and complying all those documentation.

This seems to be the case in many places. When I was still in a "game dev" school, several years ago, none of the teachers even knew about version control systems. It wasn't until in our third year when we had an actual indie game dev for a teacher, he taught us how to use them.

@Kgd- Lucky you, I'm in my 4th year now and still teachers didn't talked about it. I guess they just straight teach college after they graduated and get masters without experiencing working for a soft dev companies.
