realizes none of my friends even know what blockchain is, and don't care. feelsbadman 😢

What are you planing to use solidity on? I have thought of learning about block chain development but really haven't been able to come up with something that I could do with it.

@cgomezmendez exactly! that's what's frustrating about it. I learned it just to learn it I guess. Eventually I wanna make a decentralized exchange (maybe a desktop app with Electron), or maybe like a decentralized email service for funsies. I guess anything that makes sense to live on the blockchain. The coolest part is that you don't need a backend, your backend IS the blockchain and it's publicly verifiable. Then again, it's kind of worthless. I guess just good to know to put on my resume along with maybe 2 sample projects.
